The Villa

The villa is at the heart of the retreat - a beautiful Provençal home that began life as a farmhouse and has grown over the years into a peaceful and restorative setting for the week.

From the house, terrace and pool, there are far-reaching views across the rolling hills of Provence and, on clear days, all the way to the sea. It is a setting that immediately invites you to slow down and settle into the natural rhythm of the retreat.

The house has recently been renovated to a high standard. Inside, it feels warm, personal and thoughtfully designed, while the exterior still retains the timeless charm of a traditional Provençal home.

Set around 600 metres above sea level, the villa is particularly well suited to the warmer months, when the evenings cool to a comfortable temperature after sunny days. In winter, the house feels warm and cosy, with a traditional log burner and electric wall-mounted heaters in every room if needed.

The land around the house is planted with fruit and olive trees and, depending on the season, there may be figs, plums, mulberries, cherries and lemons growing on the property. Behind and around the villa, the forest stretches for miles and is full of wildlife - colourful butterflies, the occasional deer or wild boar, and owls calling at dusk.

The large outdoor terrace is one of the most special parts of the house. From here, the views stretch across the rolling hills of Provence and, on clear days, all the way to the sea. After a rewarding day in the mountains, it is the perfect place to sit with a glass of locally produced organic rosé and take it all in.

Just a five-minute drive away is Seillans, the local medieval village and one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is a lovely place to wander, with its stone lanes, quiet corners and unmistakable Provençal character.
